2023: April 14
Test and Tune events are a non-timed, non-competition track time. This event is scheduled to accommodate LeMons racers. This program is designed for teams and drivers seeking additional seat time for driver improvement, vehicle and chassis tuning, and circuit familiarization prior to a race event. This program permits advanced passing rules in order to maximize the use of time spent on the track. There are no Pitt Race instructors provided for Test and Tune. The goal is to give every team and driver as much track time as possible. Pitt Race reserves the right to modify the run groups at any time during the day.
No open-wheel or street cars are permitted for this Test and Tune.
For this event there will be a minimum of 2 run groups; BOTH will be for Lemons racers (no street car/non-LeMon run groups this season due to a lack of sign-ups in prior years). If necessary, a third run group may be created depending on registrations, but is unlikely.
Multiple drivers per car are permitted. Please enter their names when prompted. All drivers and crew are required to complete the facility waiver. You can copy the link during registration and email it to them.
$250 per car for ½ day (Afternoon sessions ONLY)
$365 per car for a full day
We prefer you preregister through motorsportreg.com before registration closes.
*There is an additional walkup fee if you fail to register in advance*
Test & Tune Event Details (subject to change):
Participants may purchase a garage or electric spot. Please do not paddock in an electric spot or garage unless you have already completed your reservation by calling the office at 724-535-1000 or visiting the Pro Shop.
Driver check-in begins at 7:15 am at the Pro Shop, followed by a mandatory driver’s meeting at 7:45 am. The driver's meeting for half-day participants will be no later than 1 pm. If you arrive after the driver's meeting you must see the lead instructor before you will be given access to the track.
No race engines may be started before 8 am or after 8 pm. You will be asked to shut off your engine and it may result in a penalty with reduced track time for you or your team.
Test & Tune on-track sessions generally begin at 8:30 am and run until 5:30 pm, but any given Test & Tune schedule is subject to adjustments and modifications
Pitt Race determines the schedule and run-groups based on enrollment. In the interest of safety, Pitt Race reserves the right to limit the number of participants on the track at any time.
Cancellations greater than 48 hours before the event start time will be refunded in full.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the event start time will be credited toward a future Pitt Race Test and Tune.
Cancellations after the start time or no-shows will not be offered refunds or credits. This includes no-shows, withdrawing for mechanical reasons, or crashes.
Make sure your motorsportreg.com account profile email is correct and that emails from this program are not directed to your junk mailbox.
You are able to sign up for both run groups if you would like additional track time.
