Two-Cycle Racing Returns to Pitt Race for a limited 5-Race Series!

April 6, 2022 (Wampum, PA) - The long-awaited return of the sounds of 2-cycle racing will return to Pitt Race Karting in the form of a five-race series that will run in conjunction with the existing LO206 schedule.

Both KA Junior and Senior will be contested for a five-race, no-drop, Championship that will see action over three weekends incorporating both Pitt Race Karting Double Header weekends. The opening weekend will take place June 11/12.

The remaining races in the five-race series will take place on September 3rd and October 1-2. Both KA100 classes will run inside the current LO206 series with an extended schedule for each event (a new expanded schedule with run times will be posted soon). The goal of the first year is to maximize the racing with a minimum number of weekends to hopefully encourage participation from teams throughout the region.

Most importantly, these three weekends were chosen to avoid conflicts with the Stars Championship Series, USPKS, Buckeye Challenge, and the SKUSA SummerNats at New

Castle.

The Pitt Race Karting Series follows the NKA Rulebook and will adopt the following classifications:

Class: Weight: Age: Tires: Wet Tires: KA Junior 320# 11-15 Mojo D2 Mojo W3/W5 KA Senior 360# 14+ Mojo D2 Mojo W3/W5

Initial feedback from teams in the region has been strong with likely participation from Race Factory, Checkered Motorsports - Magik Kart, McCrone Motorsports - BirelART, Adkins Speed Center, Trinity Karting Group, 4Eighty8 Performance, and Pro Kart Concepts.

IAME East has partnered with Pro Kart Concepts to offer Arrive & Drive opportunities on Pitt Race Practice Days, for anyone wanting to try out a KA package either on their own kart or on a PKC Arrive & Drive kart. Limited engine leases will be available for practice, race,

or season-long options. A special April purchase promotion will also be available to racers entering all five events in advance!
