Pittsburgh International Race Complex and Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank Host Food Distribut

(Wampum, Pa.) – Pittsburgh International Race Complex and Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank are forming a partnership to host a food distribution event on May 2, 2020 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM to provide assistance to those in need during the COVID-19 crisis.

With the support of an extensive network of community partners and volunteers, Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, through the use of the Pittsburgh International Race Complex facility, is expected to serve a maximum of 2,000 cars. Medevac Ambulance Service, Lucky Auto Recovery Towing and Transport Services, and Youngblood Paving Inc. will also provide services during the distribution event.

Pitt Race, a world-class motorsports complex just outside of Pittsburgh, will utilize their expansive outdoor facility to regulate expected traffic and provide the space needed for efficient food distribution while ensuring the safety of the volunteers and those in need.
